BOE Cooperates With Corning To Launch Curved Car Display Screen

On January 7, 2020, BOEVX, a leading provider of on-board display solutions, announced a partnership with Corning to launch an on-board display system based on Corning cold-bending technology. Intelligent display system has become an important interactive interface of the automobile and an important link for users to obtain a comfortable driving experience. The cooperation between the two sides will bring more economical and reliable curved surface display solutions to the automobile market.

Users' demand for in-car display upgrading is the same as for consumer electronic products, which tends to be large-size, curved, immersive and mutually entertaining experience. Corning's patented ColdForm bending technology helps BOEVX create this driving experience for users. The cold bending technology can make the cover glass complete screen printing and optical bonding under flat conditions, without heating, and effectively save the material cost of curved cover glass.

The cover glass used by BOEVX, which uses Corning patented cold bending technology, completes the optical lamination process in a flat environment and then bends, resulting in high output and cost-effective advantages. At the same time, the whole process innovation not only brings system-level cost savings, but also maintains excellent optical properties and flexibility of Corning high-performance automotive gorilla glass AutoGrade glasses.
